A food truck concept.
Some communities do not provide healthy fast food options. Vendors want to help create a sense of community and give back through philanthropy.
Engage communities and increase awareness and availability of local food trucks.
Create an application where people could locate local food trucks that have healthy food options and opportunities to give back to their communities through philanthropy.
Vendors would encourage giving through social media and promotions to fundraise for their chosen charities or organizations that aid food deserts/swamps.
Several peers of our community were asked about their demographics, eating habits, familiarity with food deserts and about their interests in social causes.
1:1 attitudinal and qualitative
Based on our research we created two personas, the Food Enthusiast and the Busy Bee. We also brainstormed their customer journey and scenarios.
We wanted our brand to build trust and show genuine interest in what our mission and goals are, which is helping the community.
We sketched on paper, created wireflows in Miro, wireframing in Adobe XD, and eventually came up with a concept that gives customers the ability to see local food trucks on a map and order food for pickup directly in the app. The customer can round up their order total to be donated to a local cause.
Our team collaborated as UX designers on every aspect of this project.
